Yesterday and today were very productive days at work. Got lots of things done and lots of new things started. I have three new appointments with Dutch visitors this month which is always fun. The first one is to translate for the mayor at a select dinner with the Dutch minister of Economic Affairs which will be fun. I've also brainstormed a lot of ideas for the 400 year Japan-Dutch trade relation celebrations. There have been lots of ideas in the past too but most of them didnt work out so I guess Im just going to have to wait and expect them to be shot down somewhere in the bureaucratic food chain. Still I'm positive about it all, otherwise there's no point in even trying to get many things organised. And the english website of my city is going up next week, so I'm excited!
Today was also the start of the raining season. At least that's what the TV says. It's still a little early for it too start and Im planning on going hiking this weekend so I hope the weather turns back to the sunny warm weather we had the last few weeks. Today was just wet, hot and humid: the first warning of the next few horribly hot months to come. Tomorrow is going to be 30 degrees celsius, so that's full on summer heat for this white arsed Dutchie!
Last week was beautiful beach weather though and the water was still delicously cool so we went for a swim. Yes, I live in a beautiful place:

Oh My, Oh My, Oh My... Seeing that beach kills me, cause I so want to be there... However, no way Jose at this point. See you in the NL later on in summer :)
I'm still waiting for the confirmation on whether I can get time off, but I definitely hope to see you then!
